After a brief pause due to business trips, I am collecting some recent news to post this weekend. Some may be from last week.

As if there were not already enough bugs in our browsers, operating systems, and office suites, we now realize that these programs, in which we trust so much and which are supposed to protect us, also have problems.

Some of the errors found are old and others have just been discovered; there is nothing serious about the errors, at least they do not expose users to remote vulnerabilities.

Some of the affected antivirus software include Norton Antivirus, Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0, F-Prot, IBM Proventia, and Clam Antivirus (Open Source).

Apparently the biggest problem refers to poor quality control implemented by Kaspersky Labs, as they spent 3 days updating their customers with failed versions of their solution.
